Even in a hobbyist capacity, it's a lot of money (again, another reason why it's so divisive as a controller) to just be used on the sofa. If you're a professional producer or someone who works with these kinds of devices in more than just a hobbyist capacity, I can absolutely see why it could be a frustrating and costly device to work with. You can address this with workflow tweaks - you get very good at bussing effects using groups, and cleansing pack sounds of stupid effects - but you will spend some of your time thinking up creative ways to avoid maxing out the CPU. If you take it at face value, the CPU is woefully underpowered for what the device tries to achieve. Sometimes I feel like I've only just started to scratch the surface. For me, sitting on a sofa, playing a few pads and coming up with fun beats and melodies with no pressures, it's great. I think whether it's "good" or not ends up being an entirely subjective discussion, unfortunately. The build quality is great, the user interface is decent, and obviously the sound quality and content from the NI ecosystem is top notch.
